The CAIP is a planning document developed by Caltrans District 1 to address climate change adaptation for the six-mile Eureka-Arcata US 101 Corridor in Humboldt County, California. This corridor is the region’s primary highway, connecting Eureka and Arcata, and is highly vulnerable to sea level rise (SLR) and coastal hazards due to its proximity to Humboldt Bay.
